Looking for deeper bass extension and more bass capability (Coming from XB700's)

The Sony MDR XB700's are the only 'real' headphones i've owned. I love the bass that these things are capable of. However when I turn it up it does get really muddy in the low-lows. I listen to mostly rap / hip hop / dubstep where very low frequency's are not uncommon. (<50hz). I'm using one of my old Pro Audio mixers as my 'amp' (The 3.5mm from my PC just doesn't cut it). It's a Behringer XENYX 502. (Not sure if that matters)

I'm wondering if there's any other headphones out there that I could 'upgrade' to? I'm considering getting a pair of the XB1000's with the larger driver's i'd imagine the bass extension would improve. I typically run my EQ curve as a 'smiley eq' but with 32hz @ +24 db. I have no problem buying an amp too, are there any recommendations as to what headphone / amp combo would give me an upgrade over my current setup?

The Fostex TH-900 or HifiMan HE-6. HE-6 goes deeper (down to Redbook limit at 20hz) and is always in control, but TH-900 has more 'boom', pick your poison :)

These are not cheap, but there is no 'upgrade' past them. Top of the line baby!

Very nice, out of my price range tho. Forgive me, should've mentioned a price. Was thinking <$600 for the headphones & amp (If amp is needed)

Man, wish I could help you out there, but I don't have alot of experience in that particular area for a super bassy headphone like what you already have. Hopefully someone else can help you. Good luck on finding your dream headphone!
