Just a suggestion, but why no mention of the Creative Aurvana Lives for him if he took interest in looking at the M50's the CAL! should offer quite a bit at a much more reasonable cost.

There is the CAL!2 now and no has ever tested it yet; at least, there's no impressions yet nor have I tried it yet. smily_headphones1.gif

Wow. 2 more options in the last 10 minutes. THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE AND SUCH A FLOODED MARKET. From what I have gathered in the last 10 minutes, the DT 770 32Ohms is kind o like the ATH-m50 but better? Big, boomy, controlled bass with slightly recessed mids. Haven't gotten to look at creative ones yet. Can you point out some good/bad qualities. Also, how is the isolation and clamping pressure on the 770s and creatives? I prefer tighter clamping.

Yea I saw the CAL!2 is out, but am unfamiliar with it. At least he has plenty of suggestions, regardless what he chooses lol

yes, dt770 is like a more controlled and refined/detailed version of the m50's. Isolation is pretty good, the clamping force is pretty high, but they are Beyers, so they are still comfy as hell

I doubt anyone here have tested the CAL!2 for it is very very new! So I am not curtain if anyone can give you a quick pros and cons of it.

Can you buy velour pads for the 80/120 ohm versions and use them on these?
