You received your HA-680s and discarded them as soon as they arrived?

Where do you live?  Which dumpster did you put them in.. nearest intersection?  Hahaha

trololol... :deadhorse:

Excuse me i'm Italian

The sound is "dark" and closed...

I executed the burn-in procedure with white-pink-brown noise...

It's a shame you discarded them.. I'm sure you could have found a buyer considering you already put in the 80 hour burn in.

I have the JVC HA S660 and they look literally identical to the S680 discussed here. Are they by any chance the same, just called differently in Japan?

S660 is crap, S680 is great.

Oh man. And to think I had the option to exchange them for the S600 since the store made a mistake and gave me the 660 instead. Well this definitely sucks to know. The bass is definitely overpowering in these. I wonder if there's some mod I can do to "fix" them.

Sell them for whatever you can get and buy S680 for under 70$ on eBay shipped anywhere:

This is the original S680 seller, so you can be sure you are getting a good product.

I also thought I'll buy the 46.60 EUR, but...

46.60 EUR

+ 7 EUR packaging and shipping

+ 20 EUR customs

= 80.60 EUR

I paid my Sony XB500 less and love them more, hence my S680 are now for sale. I am in Europe so if you are interested you can PM me.

The headphones are like new. I did the burn-in "ritual" and listened them a few time but after "A/B -ing" them against my XB500s I decided to keep the Sony.

Regards,

73.60 EUR maybe?

Still, 100$ is quite expensive.

Hiya everyone, I had these but I gave them to my brother lol. I need a good pair of headphones &I'm thinking about getting the Ath-a900x (closed back) or the ath-ws99. Would u guys recommend any of these 2 in relation to the s680? Or should I buy another pair of the s680? My budgets about £100. Thanks smily_headphones1.gif

If you liked them, just buy them again. No reason to take extra risk of being disappointed.

S680 is a great basshead can, if that's what you are looking for.

TakStar pro-80 has a more balanced (and boring) sound, if you want to go a different way.
