Audio Technica m50s on too loud of a source...

Thread Starter

I have a pair of Audio Technica m50s running off of a Creative Sounblaster Audigy ZS2 sound card, and the volume is way too loud.   Even at 3% windows volume it can be too loud.

What is the best solution?  I've read about attenuators and they seem like good choice but I'm not sure how to choose which one would be appropriate.

Any insight would be appreciated.   Thanks.

I would probably just get a volume control, like this:
