Need help choosing Headphone/Microphone combo for gaming and music.

I'm new to headphones, and am no way worthy of the term audiophile. I have worn headsets in the past, for gaming and music, but these tend  to break, and are of low quality. I have now begun my search for a good pair of headphones to play games and listen to music with and a standalone mic. I have looked into the ATH-M50 and the Crossfade LP's. I have heard the M50's have a bad sound stage and the Crossfade's are too bass heavy. I'm looking for a pair that I could use with both my pc and iphone and have good results. My budget is ~$150. If anyone could help or make recommendations for headphones and microphones I would be very grateful.

I would say to get a JVC HA-S400 closed on-ear headphones for use with the iPhone and spend the rest on headphones for the PC.

Maybe Sennheiser HD558s for use with the PC, getting both headphones might be $20 over budget.

Thx for the reply; I'll definitely look into those cans, but I still am looking for a good microphone to use with them.
