Suggest IEM for iPhone 5S and PC, $110 / 80€

Hi guys, please, could you help me find the best IEM for listening on iPhone 5S (and PC of course)?

My requirements:

  1. I love bass, really. But not to overdo it.

  2. Genres I listen to: hip-hop, but also rock, jazz and blues. Also quite often classical music and when I'm in the mood I like house and other similar electronic styles.
I want to enjoy music. I can wear headphones for 4-6 hours a day, so I'd love comfort.

I'm newbie at audio stuff - what do you think about JBL J33i, Klipsch IMAGE S5i or Shure se215? Or something else?

I really like the design of JBL J33i, especially the cables - I suppose it's great for sport usage like running or for often taking mobile (with connected jack) outside the pocket. But I  have read some bad criticism here:  http://www.amazon.com/JBL-J33i-Premium- ... B009IKCJ8E Tell me it's not true, I'd love to have them. But sound quality is prority number 1.

Btw, right now I have Sennheiser CX300 II and I really want to take it to the next level (shouldn't be hard, right? :))).

Thanks for any advice!

Hi Majky40!

Shure 215 have alot of bass and they very comfort, not as Westowe W series but it's still very comfortable. They are good pick for rap and electronic music. In this price it's also Phonak Audeo PFE 012. In classic, jazz and blues they make better job then Shure. PFE 012 are not that comfortable but sound it's great for that price and you find there great bass too.

Sorry but I'd never listen JBL J33i and Klipsch IMAGE S5i so can't tell nothing about them.

I suggest the following IEMs:

  1. Vsonic GR07BE (excellent)
  2. Dunu N1000
  3. T-Peos H-100 (V shaped signature)
  4. HSA BA100
  5. Rock-it R-50

or have a look at these very informative IEM comparison threads:

Thanks guys,

  • @SgtMattBaker, great tips with Shure 215 (but no controls for iPhone) and Phonak (with headset, but still only for taking calls - no music buttons). I prefer Phonak Audeo PFE 022 now, but it's still not perfect.

On the other hand, for me is sound quality still way more important then multimedia functions for iPhone. But if there is a choice, I'd like to know about it. I found some more alternatives, but again, I have no idea if they are better or at least competitive.

What do you think of these?

@zamorin great IEMs, but I think the price is too high :(

BA100 costs less than the SE215 and going by reviews, better SQ.

RE400 are better in overall SQ than both VSD1 and MA450, but wont have their bass quantity. dont know about the 600i yet
