Hi, new poster here! Just found out my cans are broken, so I'd appreciate some suggestions a new pair
I currently have the Audio-Technica ATH-ES55, but those have been a disappointment. They are uncomfortable for longer sessions and the sound isn't very impressive either. Now the plug is broken, and I've only had them for like 1-2 years.
Before that, I had a pair of Audio-technica ATH-FC700 and I liked those, while the comforability was an issue there as well.
Now to the question, which ones should I go for now? The budget is pretty limited, so please keep the suggestions under $100.
My priorities would be as follows:
1. Durability, especially the cable/plug ("90 degree plug" preferably)
3. Mobility, I'll mostly be using them on the commute to work (so on-ears preferred, but over-ears not out of the question)
Good looks wouldn't hurt either.
My music taste is pretty expansive, but it's mostly rock and acoustic stuff. Some jazz and even metal in there too.
Thanks in advance!
