Help me choose a Universal IEM for band use

Thread Starter

Okay, I'm a real newbie here. I recently went wireless IEM with my classic rock band and would like to upgrade my buds. I'm currently using Etymotic HF5's and while nice, the one driver leaves something to be desired. I went the custom route 2 years ago and really hated the fit. I cannot remember from whom I purchased them, but after one gig I sent them back and got a full refund.

My budget is up to $300.00 new or used.

The following comes through my mix:

2 Guitars

Keys

4 Vocals

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Best,

Ron

A well tuned driver can make a lot more than multiple drivers. The hf5 is amazing for the price IMO. Excellent isolation and balanced sound.

UM Pro 30s. Have a pair with a big discount if you're interested in those. Great mids with smooth top end. Great instrument separation too.

Shure 530/5 . The olive foam tips give isolation like a custom, they fit flush and their balance is conducive to your needs.

The 535 is quite good too, a lot more expensive though.
