Help finding good earbuds under $80, mostly for metal

Thread Starter

I want some better earbuds (or IEMs, are those two terms interchangeable?) for work and stuff. For reference, my current earbuds are MEElectronics m31s, and i have a pair of Sennheiser HD202s. I use the M31s on my phone, and the HD202s on my PC, with a Behringer Xenyx 302 USB as a sound card. The 202s sound pretty fantastic to my untrained ears, but the M31s are kinda harsh on my ears. I plan on getting an amp to use with my phone at some point. I just want a recommendation of a pair of earbuds, preferably under $80, for my music. I did a little research and it seems like the Vsonic GR06 might be what I'm looking for, but I know very little about headphones and I don't wanna go into this uninformed.

The gr06 are a great set of in ears that i could recommend. Ive recently also been recommending the monsters gratitude a lot because the sound is really fantastic for the 60 dollar price point if you can overlook ita flashy exterior and its fairly sub par fit.

I also like the philips fidelio in ears. Check those out too!

FYI: IMHO, earbuds and IEMs are not interchangeable terms. IEMs are designed to be put in the actual ear canal, not just sit in the outer ear opening.

Probably the most comon earbud is the old Apple iBuds:

Compare the iBuds to a few different IEMs...

GR06 is supposed to be good for that price range. Have a look at this comparison thread:
