Headphones plus portable amp for traveling

Hello all.  I travel and work remotely quite often and listen to music--50% classical, 50% rock--out of my laptop, iPhone, iPod, and iPad. I am looking for suggestions on the best headphones, portable amps, and any anything else I might need to have a great sound experience while keeping everything portable.  Typical uses would be in the airplane, at the airport, in a noisy coffee shop, or in a hotel room.  Price is not the most significant concern.

Thank you.

Also, I apologize if my post is dense.  I have no technical knowledge about what devices I need.  I assume that the better the sound, the less portable.  I don't mind heavy weight, but I do care about space.  Whatever I buy would need to fit easily into a briefcase.

Welcome to head-fi

Take a look at the Beyer DT1350. It sounds awesome for classical and soft rock, and you don't need additional amplification they sound right with mobile devices.
