Telefunken 12AX7/ECC83 Tubes - 1 Ribbed Plates & 2 Smooth Plates
Will Ship To: Anywhere
For sale, three 12AX7/ECC83 tubes with Telefunken plates:
- One genuine Telefunken 12AX7/ECC83 tube with ribbed plates, very good silk writing, made in West Germany in Nov 1959 (code uc). Tested 1400-1400 on a Hickok 539c, where 875 is the minimum and 1200 is the typical NOS value; so this tube is much stronger than NOS and should last forever like most Teles.
- One EI 12AX7/ECC83 tube made in the Nish factory in Yugoslavia. This tube has the legendary Telefunken smooth plates (EI bought Telefunken machinery in the 70s and kept making tubes with Tele plates). The silk writing is pretty much erased, but the Philips-type factory codes are clearly visible though (see pictures 4 & 5), with a "0" date code, so 1970 or 1980 (pre-war, obviously). Tested very strong and closely matched on a Wetron (Funke) W18N.
- One EI 12AX7/ECC83 tube made in the Nish factory in Yugoslavia. It also has those awesome Telefunken smooth plates. No silk writing at all, factory codes are faint but visible (pics 6 & 7), with a "7" date code meaning 1977 (or 1987 but I'd be surprised, pre-war at any rate). Tested very strong and closely matched on a Wetron (Funke) W18N.
All three are awesome tubes, and the best 12AX7 I've heard; the EI have about the best price/performance ratio you can find!
I'm looking to sell the Telefunken for 50€, and each of the EI tubes for 20€. I ship worldwide.
Thanks for reading!
