Simply put, nothing has the quantity of bass the XB700 has. Like, I'd be REALLY surprised. Plus, it's absolutely 100% not going to require an amp.

It's important to realize the xb700 originally was competing at the 80-90$ price point.

Many seem to prefer xb500 and xb1000 over xb700 afaik. I think the m100 would be in a different league, though

Ohh that clears it up then, because I saw some going for like $200 on ebay and I just bought a pair of m100s excusivly to listen to edm and whatever else they happen to be good with, but then your post made me started thinking "I might not have done enough research in odd competitors like the xb700s" :p

For monster bass, you've got the dt770, the ultrasone hfi580, the d2000 and the mad dog. Oh. Ws55 too from audio technica and the m100. Bowers and whatever p7
