Sony vintage discman question

Hi there

I know this topic has been beaten to death but after reading lots about it I am still a little unclear on the basics.

In terms of a vintage player, I think I know the following

The D-250 is a real collectors item but there are other good models out there.

I want something with line out so I can use a small amplifier and nice headphones (?)

Some players are strong enough to power any headphones but some arent (?)

Can anyone give me a recommendation for a player which I can find easily?

I have access to the following models for sale online:

D-265

D-235

D-E305

D-120

D-202

I also see a D-250 but it is being sold as junk, although, this is simply because the seller hasnt tested it and must list it as so.

Is repair for D-250's tough?

any and all info . appreciated!

Bump

ANY PCDP recommendations would be great.

This is what Ive gathered so far reading on my own:

- Line-out is necessary

- I want a headphone amp to run my headphones thus the Line-out

In terms of the Sony vintages, what numbers are good? The 555, 33, 25/250, they are all vintage and expensive.

Are there other models which are just as good?

How about Panasonic shockwaves?

Any and all info would be appreciated.

Looking to pick something up off ebay or Yahoo auctions in the next few weeks.

thanks
