The most important thing to me is a clear sound and a nice soundstage would be good as well. I don't need, and probably don't want, anything overly bassy that drowns out other parts of the music. This would be my first nice pair of headphones. I have a pair of Sennheiser 238i. They're nice but only for listening in my room. I'd like a nice pair of headphones that I can listen to wherever. I've been looking at the Sennheiser Momentums, Sennheiser HD 25s, B&W P5, and Klipsch Mode M40s. I have some Shure SCL3s that I LOVE but I don't know what their headphone offerings are like.
Anyways, I'd mostly listen to them on my Zune or Sansa Clip, my tablet, and my computer. Most of my mp3s are at least 320 bitrate, so they should sound pretty decent at least, but I don't have a headphone amp or anything like that. The genres I listen to are in the title, but some examples of artists would be Halou, Late Night Alumni, Lights, Eisley, and a bunch of other stuff that is mostly chill and "pretty" music with female vocalists.
Any thoughts? I tend to over-research stuff, but I just want to get one pair of headphones I really like and be happy with those for a while. Thanks for any input.
