Looking to buy new headphones, need help

Thread Starter

Hello, I'm looking into buying a new pair of headphones, but I don't know exactly which ones to buy. I usually listen to hip-hop, rap, sometimes electro, classical and rock. I really care about music clarity and I want that to be the number one focus of the headphones, although I would like some bass for my hip-hop, rap and electro genres since I mostly listen to that. So clarity and bass is what im looking for. Also, I would prefer if they went over the ear, and I dont ever plan on buying an amp so I dont want any earphones that people say need an amp to be able to listen to properly. Finally, I take the bus and metro a lot so I would like something that doesnt leek too much and I don't want a long cord. I tried buying the senheiser HD558 and the only things that I liked about them was the clarity and the fact that it went over my ear, but it failed in everything else, so I sold them and now I need a new pair and I dont want to make the same mistake when buying a new pair of headphones. Also my price range would be 150-300$. preferably a lower amount. I heard about the ultrasone headphones being good for bass but I dont know much about them. Can someone please help me in choosing a new pair of headphones?

Things that I want in the headphones:

-over the ear

-clarity (super important)

-bass

-portability (i.e. short cord) and the end needs to be able to go into an mp3 player jack

-Sound leakage at a minimal

-150-300$ price range

Thank you

Hi!

You should consider Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 32 Ohm
(As far as I know, it is a limited edition)

Best Luck!
