Or even better something with a user popular user replaceable battery like the DX50?

Probably too late, but if you haven't made a decision yet I strongly advise you not to buy the D20.
I chose it over the X9 because I thought its smaller size would make it nicer to use, but it really couldn't be more annoying and cumbersome.
A resistive screen is always going to be a bit unsatisfying (compared to the fluidity of a capacitive) but on the D20's 2.5-inch screen it becomes a nightmare.
The X9 has a much bigger screen, so the icons and list items will be much bigger and therefore easier to press without the stress of trying to get your fingernail exactly at the right point. You probably won't even have to use your fingernails on the X9 screen, like you do with the D20.
The fact that the X9 has hardware buttons for FFW/RW as well as volume (the D20 only has volume) is a huge advantage that I shouldn't have ignored.
And the auto-rotate (accelerometer? gyroscope?) in the X9 could be useful, or it could be annoying (if you can't turn it off, or lock the rotation, which wouldn't surprise me with Cowon's idiocy).
The D20 is also FUGLY, i thought that wouldn't bother me, but it does, it just reminds me of what a badly designed device it is.
