Recommendations for a closed, detailed headphone. Max $275

Hey guys I was wondering if some one can help me out. I have been wanting to buy some new closed headphones. I am undecided between the beyerdynamic dt770 pro 250, dt880 pro 250, Shure SRH840, or SRH940. (or any other headphones that meet my criteria)

- Music I listen to is mostly rock, electronic, hip-hop, jazz, and some acoustic.

- My price range is $200 but willing to go to $275 if it's actually worth it.

Some things I am looking for is a neutral sound with detail, to the point where I will be able to hear things that I haven't heard before (cliche i know). As far as bass goes, I wouldn't consider myself to be a basshead but I do like a good bass thump and full extension. I have heard that SRH940's are very detailed on the highs and upper mids but the thing that turns me off is that everyone says they are only good with jazz, acoustic, female vocals, and some rock. I have also heard that some people think the SRH940's sound fake and unbalanced. What are your guys' thoughts and if you need more information from me to give a solid suggestion, just let me know. Thanks a ton everyone!

AKG K550 closed headphones, good "detail" headphones.

Can anyone else confirm this? From what i am reading these seem to be lacking in the hi's and I would prefer a well balanced headphone. There also doesn't seem to be much talk about detail when it comes to these phones.

I am really leaning towards beyerdynamics dt770 pro 250. Do the dt770 have good detail?
