Here are some pics.

Straight cable and 1/4" metal plug for sturdiness and easy repair. Aluminum ring on the cup should be cosmetic purpose only.

Non-foldable headband, cord below headband is routed inside "fork" section. (less chance of damaging)

Most significant character of this phone is being super analytical and forwarded. You will never miss any detail with this one.
Although 7506 has same character (bright high and strong bass) and is also analytical, but compare to CD900ST it is more musical and enjoyable. CD900ST is like "all business" and leaves little room for fun.

Its sound is not flat at all but there are no obvious hump or ditch throughout the frequency. Very bright high, clear but forwarded mid, strong bass.
In most of the cases it is quite difficult to enjoy music with this one because of too much detail and no soundstage. Still there are some exceptions, for example I found Red Hot Chilli Peppers really enjoyable with CD900ST.

Spec.
impedance: 63ohm
rated input: 300mW
max. input: 1000mW
dynamic range: 5 - 30,000Hz
cord: 2.5m
weight: 200g (w/o cord)

Sound stage can depend on the recording it self. What surprises me the most is how well this headphone does with Metal and now J-Pop/Rock.

Been listening to the 900ST for a while. In my case the pads are too shallow and the drivers too close to my ears, that clarity actually increase pretty good with the phones being pulled apart.

I need taller pads. I notice from elsewhere that the Beyerdynamic DT250 pads would fit these phones and may be an upgrade for me. Just wonder if anyone tried these on the 900ST and are there better yet alternatives.
