The best iPod I have personally heard including iPod video that's been mentioned is the iPod touch 4G. For a mainstream DAP it sounds really nice.

new ipods is definetly better than wolfson ipods. I had ipod video and new classic and 4th gen touch. New ones has much more detail and clarity. All other aspects they are same. same highs, lows and so on. I highly recomend classic. because you can rockbox it, and it is much more intuitive and easier to use than touch for music listening. Did i mention, that you dont need itunes with rockbox?

so you recommend the iPod classic out of all the NEW GENERATION IPOD'S?

I was thinking of getting the Nano partly because of its small size fits my needs but in that case I may get the classic now
