Amp project to use with Stereo speakers

Hi all!

I was wondering if you could recommend me a project to build an amp to use with a pair of speakers from an old stereo; the idea is to make a "music station" tu use with mp3 players, smartphones, etc. I dont think the amp would need a control stage, just a "normal" configuration to have a nice sound quality. I neither ask for a super-amp, just to use the station in a room.

The speakershave 4 ohm impedence and 50watt PMP.

Thanks for the help :D!

Could you provide links to a few designs that intrigue you?

I am interested in making a king of doc, like the infinity designs made for apple devices, like these ones http://reviews.cnet.com/best-ipod-iphone-speaker-docks/

Just a pair of speakers with an amp, that you connect to your device using the normal jack. No tone controll pots, just one for volume (one standard tone controll may be inside the amp project, just one that give an standard nice sound to the system). The case wuold be made maybe from wood smily_headphones1.gif. The problem now is to use a nice amp project smily_headphones1.gif
