Been a proud and extremely satisfied owner of the Sony MDR-V900's for 8 years now. I picked them up when i was 15 years old and have used them relentlessly for the past 4 years as a regional EDM performer. obviously time has started to take its toll on them and it would be just my luck that they are no longer made. my ears are 100% tuned to these headphones and I have been having a very hard time finding anything else that hit my ears the way they do.
I have tried the Sony MDR-V900hd - way to much high end and poor at high volumes, distortion, ear fatigue
just returned some Westone W4r's as i am open to moving to IEMs - loved the sound isolation but way to neutral, lacked the attack, velocity, aggressiveness i enjoy while performing )
waiting on the Westone UMpro30's in the mail - hopeful as i have heard they deliver a lot more "wow" factor and tend to be more "exciting" then the W4r
I am pretty much open to anything. my budget is a firm $400
all feedback is welcome and truly appreciated
( only to be used with a Pioneer DJM-850 & CDJs )
