$999 Calyx M with DXD + DSD, 64GB + SD + µSD storage - Page 306

I am having a problem with my Calyx M. I have loaded music and updated the firmware on my office PC, which runs Windows 7, with no problem. However, doing the same thing at home on my Windows 8 PC does not work. It will not recognise the hard drives in the Calyx M in Windows at all. I have tried usb 2 and 3 ports, with no success. Anybody else had any problem with the Calyx and Windows 8? Any ideas on how to solve this?

Sounds like a driver issue.

I did have this problem at one point. The M communicated fine with Windows 8 and then suddenly Windows 8 stopped recognising the internal drive (and SD card, but I could remove that to transfer files).

What corrected it for me, bizarrely, was hooking up the M to my old Windows 7 computer which recognised the internal drive. That seemed to wake the M from its slumber because the next time I connected to Windows 8, it recognised the M's drive too.

That was many moons ago and I have had no problems since. I hope that it works out for you.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give it a try.

I have had them for roughly 3 weeks and they continue to grow on me. However, I have to note I have enjoyed the HiFiMAN sonic signature since their first planar, the HE5 came out.

About the output DC level debate, why would dynamic IEMs suffer more than BAs? Do their coils saturate more easily?

I'm upgrading to the latest firmware 1.01

It;s still having problem with may FAD Piano Forte VIII . Mainly distortion of sound on left channel. It's not as noticeable as previous FW. But it's still there.

Anyone could help me of how to contact the CS from calyx. I try to email them on ask@calyx.kr but still no reply...

I'd like to inquiry for the impedance adapter from them.

If you bought yours in the USA, try contacting On Song: https://www.facebook.com/pages/On-Song-Audio-Distribution/132094996876795?fref=ts
