Here's a link for Calyx M player leather case. It looks pretty awesome.

I'll buy this one. :beerchug:

I'm planning to buy that one , too...

I already got my Gariz (a bumper-like lather case, about 70 bucks ) already though.

:( I really liked this DAP player, was looking for the AK240 alternative.

Such a huge price difference, can't spend that much on AK240...

I guess I will wait for the next Calyx with the WIFI.

They dropped the wi-fi for extra SD storage. You might be waiting a while.

If you don't wanna wait, how about the AK100II?

Sorry to deviate to different topit but AK240 has same sound quality as AK100II ?

Or do you know if Calyx sounds as good as AK240/AK100mk2 ?

I really think Calyx M sounds better than AK240/AK100mk2.

In fact, Much better to my ears. (I mean, to my ears at least)

I blind tested  my girlfriend, she said Calyx M wins for sure, too. (my girlfriend never owned these new generation DAPs and of course no preference or opinion... she studies to earn masters degree (violin))

If someone blame about UI or whatever... I could understand... but if some people say calyx m sounds bad,

I would say ridiculous...

Both have different sound signature, Calyx M is warm and thick while AK240 is on the brighter side.

From reviews so far, AK240 has better transparency and width in soundstage while Calyx M has more depth. Most seems to prefer the AK240, but it depends on your preference on sound signature.

Yup! It's really up to what your preferences are. No right or wrong answer here. I have mostly different albums running on my AK240 and on my Calyx M. smily_headphones1.gif

If you are not political about these DAPs...

I'm sure You will love the sound of M...

I'm a owner of dx90, hm802...(I be honest that I don't own a single AK... but I know the sound because all my buddies mostly own AK series)

I think Calyx M overcomes all of them...(soundwise at least)

Of course, I respect the people who thinks AK sounds better... It is my opinion.

Only thing what I'm curious about is P1 of Cowon...

It just came out. So I need to check the sound soon.

That's pretty damning!.... do update us if you manage to squeeze more after a few more charging cycle.   Even 7 hrs is really on the short end of things but this is borderline scary.  Does it matter if we use 1 instead of 2 SD cards? or if you find microSD vs regular SD giving you more play time?  Or were you browsing and admiring the artwork and UI a lot?! (j/k.... or maybe not)

@Kiats, how's yours running?

Oh this is great info, I hate the warm sound, so looks like I will prefer AK240 afterall... only thing I wish if the price was same as Calyx.

You guys have too much money ! lol. I can't even afford AK100.
