It could happen. I already sent an email to Dmitri at MusicaAcoustics to inquire if it is in stock. Baby steps perhaps but steps nonetheless.  :)

Yayyyyyy.   Coop, you will be the honorable OP with the detailed review, and will be the first one.  You will be cool like that.  And then others will follow, like Solude, and then you guys will hype it up, and get the hype train going like the other threads.  And then sombody will come in and bad mouth it, then you guys will argue, then the thread will be killed.  And then move on to the next Korean DAP that comes out, and start the cycle again.

Well, like i said, you are entitled to do that. And Like I already said in this thread(if you are interested) foreign version of M could be more stable and sturdy because Calyx fixed some initial bugs reported from Korean users (after so many complaints from them,so some of them call themselves unwanted beta user).
And lastly, you dont need to trust me, that's not what I have done here, saying my personal point of view. If you go through my post here, you will find out that I have just passed on the widely circulated info inside Calyx naver cafe which, at this moment, has most of M users.

It is okay to pass on information. The Beta User concern is very real and a big reason why I am reticent to jump. We will see how this all shakes out.

Shills without pay... woot! :p

Can I be the "bad mouth guy" and not part of the hype crew for a change? j/k hehe

@ohotontg I appreciate your sharing of Korean info and I think it is great if you can share the list of "things promised to be fixed" by the CEO so that we can look for them when we demo.

In Hong Kong local forums, the comments from demo are also mixed about sound, but most seemed to be more bothered by the UI than me. So it would be great to learn what are the challenges people reporting and Calyx acknowledged with plans to fix.

Sure no problem, just wait a couple of days.

does anyone have any idea how long the battery lasts? There's been a lot of negative comments about the battery life on this rig.

Just received my Calyx M. It is bigger and heavier than I expected. It doesn't appear to have a manual. It doesn't recognise my SD and micro SD cards, and Windows won't recognise the player as a USB device. So far, not off to a good start.

Try reformatting your cards to NTFS or FAT32, but no exFAT support yet AFAIK. I met the Calyx CEO in the Fujiya show and apparently exFAT support has something to do with Microsoft licensing. I guess that's being worked on.
