Seemed very cautious though

Sorry buz word for Integrated Circuits.

Not to worry an inquisitive mind is all that is needed wink.gif

Thanks for all the info you have provided so far and please keep us informed as the Calyx M get released. It's sounding like an engineering marvel and maybe they might have an excellent product in their hands.

Those two metal volts will be changed to Black....

the UI was smooth but could be better(as good as galaxy2)....

What are the 2 métal volt for? Are they just some screw or are they some électric contact for some sort of charging craddle ?

And regarding the UI do you mean that you find thé scrolling or réactivity too slow ?

UC... DAPs don't react as fast as I phone 5s or reference android NEXUS5.... that is all. Considering it is a DAP... probably the fastest I've known yet and very smooth and nice UI. (especially, the color of the booting sequence screen is amazingly beautiful...)

The completeness is nothing like anyother DAPs I've known...

The volts?..(or whatever those are...) I didn't ask or... know nothing about it unless it will be black when you get your actual product.

thats a pretty nice looking dap , I am still curious on how capable it is , like SQ , power to drive  heavier headphones  etc etc

IF the DAC's SQ of the M is that good, then I will want to use it at home with my BIG 20lb desktop Tube Amp.

So.... I really really hope that the line out is very very clean despite going through the headphone amp/volume. Or... some 3rd party Mod may be necessary to create a "real" line-out that by pass the headphone amp/volume !

My positive suggestion to Calyx: With such a nice UI they should develop a slightly bigger (BUT still portable) version with more capacity, 2 FULL SIZE SD, and Coax Digital-Out !! : i will call it "Calyx M-Server " and I will buy it immediatly for my home usage ( while still able to use it on-the-go ) !

Plus.... Calyx M would be the flagship of their technology... like DX100..

Seems like they're working on cheaper and smaller version of Calyx product...

I'm just thankful it is smaller than HUGO of Chord.

Do you have any information about the smaller one apart from knowing that they are working on it?

I'm not sure... but I've heared similar thing as what you've just mentioned... plz don't ask me cause I'm not sure:)

I think M will not have Coax Digital-Out... just micro usb and a headphone jack... The people of Calyx is famous of their adherence of their technology... even in this country.

I remember sombody was asking for this n that and they said no because this is the best:)

Yeah smaller, thinner with a full-size SD card would be interesting. Like a DX90 to a DX100.

They claimed Calyx M is the flagship... so that could be possible but I don't know.
