Yeah I know, I think they should change the back of it, make it all metal and call it iCalyx M biggrin.gif

As before, I'm not too concerned about the button / slider ergonomics. The M:use interface will be the key to whether the M sinks or swims. Hopefully it will be fast and smooth, and offer (ideally better than) Rockbox active playlist functionality.

Oh, and the sound quality... :-)

I guess we'll see. Couple of weeks before they release the names of their distributors and most likely a few more weeks before they start supplying it. We may be talking about end of April if everything runs smoothly.

Yeah... and besides that... I find their marketing attempts horrible. They do not give any new information nor fair impressions. They just say the Calyx M drives everything well, here is some free music you must listen this and blabla, check out this music blabla. If you do not have anything to post, than don't try to make up for it with non-sense all the time... (Oh and before I upset someone:) this is regarding Calyx's Facebook posting haha :P)

What about demo-units, impressions from well known reviewers, ENGLISH posts on Facebook..., unboxing :D (I know... this is just something that I would want to see!) and I would also like to see some consistency on their Facebook page... I mean.. they are literally advertising with various designs (they even have the old rendering on their wallpaper... that is just bad and distracting)

You should try their homesite, same stuff as it was months back, no change. I got the impression they are on a very low marketing budget after spending all that money on the amazing magnetic volume control biggrin.gif

All the things they posted recently on facebook and that International pre-order fiasco really killed the enthusiasm for this device.

Not to mention a number of other new/upcoming devices. Why limit oneself to Calyx and put up with their attitude when there are many others incoming which are more affordable and perhaps on par in sound?
I'm more interested in Cowon now after shifting away from Calyx smily_headphones1.gif

I agree with this.

That fiasco and their "questionable" decision on design pushed me away.

If it's any consolations:

April:
Release their samples to the press
Ship the Korean pre-orders

May:
Ship to international customers

They apparently are working on a cheaper version which they say will be announced very soon.
No words of what it will be, have or don't have yet.

Might be worth waiting to see who will win the hi-res dap war. Although it sounds we are the casualties, financially that is. biggrin.gif

So basically no pre order discount for international customers?

Do Ibasso do that? Or Fiio?
