Any one maybe interested in making a thread for travel arrangements? I'd love to attend can Jam, but my car sucks no way I could make the dirve !  Personally, I'd love to find some head fi'ers close to me who'd be willing to possibly Car Pool and maybe share a room [spiltting the costs ofc]

A train from SC to D.C is only $96 one way right now on Amtrak ;)

The meet location ( based off what it was last year) is near a subway station that the Amtrak D.C train stops at

You--drive to Amtrak SC station and park (find how long) --take train from SC to D.C Union---take subway directly from D.C Union to outside Meet Location

= happy Mshenay

Round trip costs for you would be $200. Split a night at a cheap motel/hotel ($30-$45 per person as most hotels allow up to 4 per regular room)

Bringing it to around $250 for travel and sleep arrangements typically. Factor in amother $50 for the food costs and possible after party HF meetup dinner.

$300 to meet some awesome people and listen to the worlds best headphones?

Really considering this, just don't know how the parents will feel. Oh, the life of a young audio enthusiast

it's a no-go, I'm on vacation with my girlfriend that week. I'll have to go to one sometime. I have to try some of this equipment so I can do more than judge based on head-fi word of mouth

Update:

I will be attending the event and CanMania with my Dad

I will bring my:

-Fostex TH900

-Shure SRH1540 (didn't see anyone bringing these figured we could use some variety)

I won't be staying longer than half past 1pm or my pregnant wife will kill me (in case anyone wants to hear my cans).

Anyone doing the whole CAF trip thingy?

Its from 10am on the 25th and closes at 5pm on the 27th (with closing times in between)

Schedule here:

http://www.capitalaudiofest.com/p117.html

If so, anyone need a partner for a cheap hotel room on the 25th and 26th?

NVM (Click to show)

I'm currently looking at a cheap Days Hotel(down the road) that has two beds for $110 approx a night so split that two ways.

It is 12mins from the Sheraton Inn (where the event and meet is at) and is accessible by Subway. 6 Mins by car, or around 21mins by walking

So, anyone wanna split a room for $50 , $50? 2 double beds in the meet hotel?
