Replacing cable on Koss Portapro

Basically the jacks on Portapros tend to go after a while for me. I managed to salvage this pair by soldering on an old KSC cable where the connection at the phone itself had gone bad rather than the jack.

Is there anywhere I can order a cable ready to solder on? Like preferably something stronger and more reliable so I don't have to replace it every few months.

This could be a good bet -

But if I could get a few of them cheap that'd be better.

Any ideas?

Depends if you want to keep a really thin cable, thin cables break easier...

If your problem is with the jack all you might need is a better jack with good strain relief but the porta pro wire is anodized so not nice to work with and the cable you linked looks to be the same.

Sounds like you're handy with a soldering iron so if you don't mind a thicker cable you could get some mini quad, a nice jack and some heatshrink for the Y split and make yourself a cable that should last much longer, as long as you don't abuse it.

Can I get specific recommendations for a cable please?

Well that would depend - where are you using them?  If you'll be sitting still you don't have to worry about microphonics, if you're moving you do :)

The cable I was thinking of was Mogami miniquad w2893 as used in this guide, you can buy it by the foot here but there may be cheaper places if you're willing to look round - most seem to want to sell you a whole roll!  I've read conflicting opinions on how microphonic it is so if you're going to use it on the go please have a read first.
