Sennheiser HD 650 or similar

Thread Starter

Any other headphones recommendations based on my listening experience with the HD 650.

This is what I like and what I'm after, after testing the HD 650.

Pros:

Comfort, it's amazing, and something that is required if it's going to beat the HD 650.

Sound, I love the deep full tone they make. The space the create, taking you to a different dimension.

Price.

Cons:

The little high descant they make, a Sennheiser resemblance. Maybe to much for my liking, because they take over to much of the sound.

Extra:

I would like headphones that you can change and improve the cable with.

Sennheiser is more or less mainstream. Could I get something more exclusive?

Price:

Not of importance, I'm looking for quality, although if I can find what I'm looking for, +/- for the HD 650 price, that would be great.

Listening:

I would be driving them on a NuForce Icon 2 amp. Going to use them for all kinds of music, all from YouTube to CD quality.

The AKG K712 Pro is another great option and to my ears an improvement over the HD650.  You can read more about that here:
