HM 801 USB Failure

Can't get any of the USB connections to work on my hm801... about an hour ago it was working perfectly. I connected to the device and deleted some songs I didn't like. And yes I ejected the drive in windows before I unplugged the usb, how ever about 20 mins ago I attempted to use it in USB DAC format [which was also working yesterday] I got a windows message saying "Device insatllation failed" and since then no USB connectovity. I've tried multiple USB cables on multiple PCS and nothing is connectin the hm801 to any PC device. I tried connectin to DataExchange but it starts up then immiedatly shuts down.

My Firmware is .19  [No rockbox]

I've also tried hitting the reset button on the bottom. I'm going to let the battery die completely and see if that solves anything... I've also seen other users have issues with losing USB. They mention something about shorting on the Flash memory?

Anyways much help appreciated q.q

I am sorry to hear your problem. You could write an email to Hifiman.

I faced similar problem with my E17, but it came back to life, after hitting reset button.

Yea I sent them one. I'm thinking it's something hanging around in the Cache or memory... if I kill the battery let's hope it goes back to normal... I've tried the reset button a few times already... There is a HifiMan rep here on head Fi if I can find him

if the HM 801 is under warranty, you could return it.

Is it a known problem? Can you post in the discussion/impressions thread of HM 801? May be someone there could help you.
