Mic Sound card vs dedicated pci e soundcard?

Hey guys noob here, wondering if I can find some answers to my current situation.

I have a beyerdynamic dt 990 pro 250 ohms version and I was wondering what would be a better input jack for the headset. I have a samson meteor mic that I can plug it into which is usb powered, and I also have a dedicated sound card, the "Syba SD-PEX63034 7.1 Channel Surround Digital/Analog PCI-e Sound Card, VIA VT1723 Envy24DT Chipset".

With the samson I seem to be able to crank the volume up a lot higher than the pci-e card, so I concluded that it would be a better option. I can't to discern which sounds better though so I thought I'd might ask you guys!

Thanks in advance!

It's really up to your ears which is better.

But it seems like the Samson Meteor Mic is the better choice.
