Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro?

are these a solid headphone? how well do they last? i am debating on them, i went to guitar center and talked with a manager this time, who ofcourse offered to let me demo anything in the store after i told him how rude his sales associate was the other day.

long story short me and the gf both loved the comfort and sound of the dt770pro 80 ohms, i can get fthem for 200 before tax, which is great as i have a 217 dollar gift card to guitar center from the coverage my shure 840s had when they broke.

These sounded really good compared to the m50s, senn pro 320(i think thats what they were called)

would these benefit from an amp?

Thanks,

V

The DT770 Pro 80-Ohm really should be used with a headphone amplifier to bring out their best, otherwise you can get things like a "muddy" bass.

What sources are you going to be plugging the headphones into?

Every device has a audio chip inside , Sony apparently has very bad ones inside of their smartphones and tablets ....... Classic iPods had the best from Wolfson but ...... those days are gone.
