Basically, the right of the headphones completly stopped working. (This was before my son broke it).
I left it laying on the ground (I know, dumb move), and my son broke off the outer circular part of the headphones (Not really broke, but seperated), from the cup. I can see 2 cables that were supposed to be connected to the left cup (which still worked), and the cables that are connected to 2 metal part (that I'm assuming feeds audio to the other side of the headphone)
I saw that one of the cable that was connecting to the metal for the other side of the cup was not connected, so I tried soldering it, but the other side of the headphones would still not work :(. I saw the white cable was supposed to be connected to the metal piece (which connected it to the other side of the headphone) and also connected to the left side of the headphone. I assumed maybe it got loose, so I soldered it together and made sure it was definitely contacted with the metal piece, but even after that the right side of the headphone would not work.
Would it be worth paying for a repair and sending this to AKG, or should I just buy a new used pair?
