need help for choosing a 200$ over-ear headphones, for mostly rock and funk (RHCP) - Page 2

If you use only amp, you do not bypass on board soundcard.

To get the most benefit, it is better to use dac/amp and bypass the on board soundcard.

or else

use a good soundcard.

first of all, thanks for all the help, you are awsome!

second, i just now did i research about getting the Beyerdynamic all the way to israel, and i realized

that it's impossible under the price of 300$...

so for now my only choice is the sudio technica, plus a soundcard or dac\amp combo.

sorry for all the trouble, but are there any more choices of headphones to me?

Can you ask someone who returns from US/Europe to bring these stuff for you?

or

List out the your choices based on the availability.

my options besides the audio technica m50 are

akg k240 studio

audio technica ath-ad500x

akg k171 mkII

akg k271 mkII

I own K240 MK II, it is not suitable for a basshead.

from the list, I would pick M50 for a basshead.

But I do not have any idea about ad500x, k171 and k271 mkii (k270 has less bass than k240)

can you get k550, it is a closed phone. But it has enough bass.

so to sumurize it all, i will go on the m50, all that left is a decent sound card.

the sound card that the guy here recommended is not available for me,

but the creative sound blaster x-fi is available. good one?

can you get E10 or E17?

i can get the e10, is it better than a soundcard?

If your main purpose is to listen music, get a dac/amp....

if you also play games, get a soundcard (so you can have virtual surround sound etc)

sorry for bumping an old thread, but is there an amp\dac that would have a line-in for recording a bass guitar, if this is possible in the same

price range of th e10 or a bit above...

thanks!
