Closed cans for flamenco music <200€

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a pair of closed cans which fits for flamenco & classical music. I listen to a lot of different kinds of music. I have a Hifiman HE-300 and I'm a bit disapointed when I listen to classical and flamenco music. For rap, soul, electro, etc. it is perfect.

I asked advices and I was told that to try the Beyerdynamics DT660 and the AKG K550. Did someone try these two? Is there, maybe, a better choice? I live in France and I do not have the luxury to try before buying...

I don't really know what kind of sound I want. For 200€ I know perfection is not what I'll get.
I'd like something like this though:

- clean trebles and "quick" to respond to the quick picking notes of the flamenco guitar
- qualitative bass but not too heavy
- qualitative mids for flamenco voices (male & female) (until now, I dot not want something really out of the ordinary, I know ^^)
- quickness in response (cf nb 1 point)
- a soundstage as large as possible. That's a point which I want to emphasize as I am really disapointed by the soundstage of the Hifiman HE 300.

Thank ya'll ;-)

Thank you malveaux. Do you - or anybody - have an opinion and some details about those cans and the ones I quoted in my first post?

If you Google a headphone make and model # with keyword head-fi thrown in, you'll typically find some good review and discussion threads.smily_headphones1.gif
