Last Mid ohio meet this year Fall meet here we come. (westerville again) (November 24th) - Page 7

Thanks Jason for an awesome meet! Had oodles of fun listening to everyone's stuff. Now I just gotta figure out how to get some money together to buy some HD800's :)

It was fantastic getting to meet everyone and talk shop. Never heard a Stax set before tonight, and now I've heard 3. I like that Stax sound quite a lot. Those SR-009 blew me away on several songs. And so comfortable. Also got to affirm that my order of the HD650 was well placed, so I look forward to finally getting mine soon. I don't think I've ever had any headphone more comfortable than the HD700 on my head. The HD800 sounded better (obviously) but I give the nod to the 700 on comfort. Also, the Darth Beyers... Dat bass!

Glad many of you got to spend some times with my Mad Dogs. Hopefully by the next meet they'll be Alphas. It was neat to compare them with Rick's modded T50RP as I've never heard another version of the model aside from my Mad Dogs. And curse you all for showing me the need to get a different amp for the HD650s. I guess there's a Schiit Vali in my future. It drives the HD650 and the Alpha Dog quite nicely based on reports of those who have heard it; including Dan Clark from MrSpeakers. I wonder if it's wise to go from a tube dac to a tube amp...

A big thanks to Jason for hosting the meet. I had a great time and enjoyed hearing all the different set ups. Let's do this again sometime soon. Thanks all.

Sir, those are both lies....!  You seemed pleased with the 009; not 4200.00 pleased, but pleased.

BTW that Kraken sunk your boat last night; it hit you like mac truck at the end of the night. I think it was the last shot Alex, You and I did that and it sunk your battleship.

Nothing like a "$5000" snuggle buddy.

Haha!  It all started Saturday night drinking too much, waking up still drunk and going from there.  What really snuck up on me was that belgian triple.  9.3% or so.  I remember feeling that kick in and yes of course the shots.  I even remember thinking to myself how pleasant everything sounds and well, there I went to sleepy land.  I was drunkish when I went in to work today and about mid day hit a hump and practically passed out during lunch.

Anyways, I had a great time.  Great to meet people, see people again, and I love the laughter.  Thanks for letting me hear your stuffs, everyone.  From clock radios to really expensive clock radios!  Just kidding.

Chase, thanks for bringing your crap.  Yes impressive, just not at that cost for me personally.  Which is a great thing to know and all, and that killed the desire to make that jump.  So, thanks.  Sucker.

I always bring all this music and never listen to it...

Cheers guys.  :beerchug:
