Wassup my DigiGhetto4lifeDawg.

Ah, my tour units are coming in a tad bit late. Dan said Monday, or sometime within the next two weeks.

Don't spoil how they'll sound for me! (okay, maybe a tad bit).

See that new Leckterton? Looks promising. But the Geek is also enticing....

Yeah, I've been mulling over the new Leckerton. Are you going to pull the trigger on it? Have you heard the news? I'm a writer for Audio360

Yep you linked the review on TMAC, dontcha remember?

It's too much moola for something that I typically pay little mind to, but still in the cards. Just need to scrap some stuff for the CW, then maybe I can think about them.

I've been mulling over the new Leck amp myself but I doubt I'll pull the trigger. I have to many mobile amps already and I had to sell off my UHA-4 due to lack of use. Between the UHA-6MKII and the ALO RX MKIII-B I think I have my mobile amp bases covered. I'm still trying to sell off my old RX MKII amp with no luck.

I am really not convinced on the portable amp issue. I tried a few but still not convinced on the ergonomics. A top DAP 901 will sound almost as good or better depending on the stack and will be much easier to use. Or yoy can use a home rig. But that is just me, I get that some people like to play with the flavor of different amps. I prefer to try DAPs and ciems.

Yeah I hear you. I tried the iPod/CLAS/RX MKIII three piece rig for awhile and grew tired of such a bulky rig really fast. On the plus side. the CLAS makes a nice desk DAC with a small footprint. now if only audiophile DAP's weren't so buggy in the UI I might feel there were better choices out there besides mobile amps

Honestly, the 901 has very few problems on the latest firmware. If you use folder view, everything works just perfectly and sounds great....only issue is battery.

What's the battery life like right now? So most of the bugs have been addressed in the UI? I have my replacement DX50 on it's way to me so I should have it in under two weeks. In hindsight I'm wondering if maybe I should have just returned it and been done with it.

@H20Fidelity

I emailed iBasso about them refunding me my shipping and they asked me for the final amount in USD. Barely 20 minutes later the money was in my PayPal with no questions asked. I may have qualms with their DX50 but at least whoever is running the customer service dept seems to be with it and seems to come across as honest enough. Considering shipping with tracking from Canada to China was 70 bones Canadian I was expecting a big hassle. For once I was surprised by something positive.

That's excellent news. Making the experience much more pleasing.

Yeah, I was sure I'd be getting some excuse or accusation about shipping being way to high for them to cover. Either the guy I dealt with is new or iBasso is really that honest. Kind of nice to see in this day and age. By the way, what was the deciding factor that made you decide to move your DX50 along?

Battery life is like 5 hours with balanced card. Not all the bugs are addressed but for my use it works fine.
