Not Sure What Type of Cable/Cable Suggestions

I have a Sager NP8235 and according to specs it has a SPDIF output. It looks like a 3.5mm output with the exception of the red light inside the jack. Not sure what cable type I should get. Im almost positive this is a mini toslink output, but not certain.

If this is the case, my plan is to go with a mini optical output to a toslink 90* adapter on the laptop to keep the cord away from the middle of the desk so I can run it down the edge of the laptop to my DAC/Amp.

Also does anyone have any experience with a Nyrius NWC500 cable: http://www.amazon.com/Nyrius-NWOC500-Performance-Digital-Optical/dp/B004UHY8SO/ref=sr_1_37?ie=UTF8&qid=1382223088&sr=8-37&keywords=optical+cable

This cable looks to be very well built and seems to get good reviews in terms of quality materials.

This is the correct cable and it's cheaper.

Might be cheaper, but aesthetics do play a small role here. Id rather use the 90* angle adapter. With the way my home desk is setup the mouse and cable are on the same side. I have to keep the cable away from the mouse.

I wouldnt mind just getting rid of the 90* angle adapter if they made a cable that had it built in.
