From initial listen I can already tell that the Sony is more refined and fuller sounding. My main complaint about the QB2 being lacking body/fullness in its sound becomes more apparent after listening to the MH1.

Stay tuned...

No offense, but I feel it's like a rollercoaster ride after reading  d marc0's posts in this thread.

I took a pair of MH1 tips and placed them on the QB2. Seems to improve to improve the sound with more body especially at the bass end. Still burning in the MH1 and will make a comparison by Friday.

Mine have just arrived after 13 days, which is pretty nice.

First impressions: Whoever thought flat cables are good is an idiot. I can definitely hear that veil people were talking about, but I expect it to go away after some burn-in. Mids seem a bit too recessed for my liking, but otherwise they sounds pretty good.

I highly recommend you to change the tips first because they are really awfull and veil the sound. Once you changed it, you will see that veil is mostly disappeared.

What kind of tips do you recommend?

Sadly I don't have those. Still, I tried my available ones and found a pair that makes the sounds and also the comfort considerably better. The veil is still there, but it's better.

Actually, I think the thin texture and wide bore of the tips don't veil the sound at all.

+1

Huh? I just disagreed with you.

Are you referring to original tips? I mean it' s not about being thin or wide bore tips but material and the original tips is not that quality.

Last time i followed the thread they were making an updated "audiophile" version and I am sure it was cuz of your tireless efforts that spearheaded this change.

Hope they will further fine tune these and get them to where you would like. smily_headphones1.gif

Amazing work as always, and thanks again!!! beerchug.gif

I appreciate the sentiment mate but reading u say that makes me a bit uncomfortable. I'm not sure I was personally involved in "improving" the ASG 2's a bit if at all with my post. In fact, I am quite disappointed in some of my wording.

Exhibit A

*I have to say that for the price, I would personally be content with GR07 BE's after trying these. They are for sure a noticeable improvement over BE's(with port closed-to-barely open) but how much you value the difference will vary by individual.

That right there, my friend, feels like failure. Confused or not, I feel that should have been better explain, more context given, greater detail written.

Ontop of that, there are days I rather watch anime then post or keep testing the phones. U saying "hard work" therefore has ME2 saying, "yeah, I don't think so".

ME2: He said "na, hunter x hunter has a new episode" when I reminded him to get back on the bench... prick.

Resources?... well I did put down $650 for this little fiasco but then again... I was offered a demo pair by Andy.

ME2:

I did ship them out twice to others tho so I guess that's a pat on the back?

I would like to add more to the thread after G'man posted with my new pair but I really feel the tour members got this. I get how some people tell me to post anyhow but when I don't feel confident in my own impressions, I think it's time to cut the noise so the signal is unhampered. What am I doing here then u might ask....

I like inks? *no homo ...maybe

I wish him and eke would be coolz but what can I do? I'll provably make it worse if I try something.... Inks impression didn't get added to the first post for example. Failure.

BTW mate, u still rocking them AKG K518 LE greenz?

FYI, the reason I didn't respond sooner... work... and crunchyroll. Provably mostly crunchyroll... I think.

P.S. I'm also a bit let down by Dales response to my question on the graph. If you look closer to the beginning of the thread, you'll see I gave him a compliment for comparing his phones against other. Music's response to that post now seems more correct after all.... maybe.

Music! Come back to us!!! I still have hug locked and ready \(-_-)/

For what it's worth, there has been many users who heard both MH1 and MH1C and said that MH1 is the one to beat, not MH1C due to its many quality control issues. Some even said that the FR is different. YMMV

The FR of a good MH1C is not that much different than MH1 if anything I like the MH1C more, less edgy, there is that control quality issue though which is kind of common

After a couple of hours, these are beginning to sound (even) better. They seem to do especially well with acoustic music, only strugle with particularly busy stuff.
