Need help choosing a new pair of earbuds

Hello,

I'm not an audiophile, but I do like music and good sounding audio equipment ;P

I've been using the Sony MDRXB60EX for about 9 months, but alas some plastic came off the left bud (exposing the driver inside) and since it's out of warranty, I'm out of luck.

They weren't very pricey at around 40$, and I could always buy another pair, I listen to alot of Hip Hop, K-Pop, and ballads sometimes, a fair mix of everything overall.

I was looking through some options around a similar price point (60$ MAX, preferable under) but I'm really lost as to what to look for, my tech knowledge does not extend to audio equipment sadly :/

I really liked how the Sony's sounded, but I'm not impressed by their warranty nor the fact that that plastic bit fell off after only 9 months of regular usage. If it helps you experts make recommendations, I'm going to be using these earbuds with the Lumia 920, Surface Pro, and a Nintendo 2DS (soon to be purchased). A flat/tangle free cable is a must, I know audio quality is important over everything, but some of these cheaper JVC buds look subjectively bad, maybe I'm spoiled by Sony design :P

So far I've looked hard at these:

The broken Sonys

Sony XBA-1

Klipsch S4 ii (hesitant on these since they seem not very bassy by design, and some bad reviews on amazon)

Finally, the techie part of me always prefers something newer, though I guess audio doesn't evolve as rapidly as computer hardware, if there's anything newer, that would be nice XD

Check this thread out, got a 50% discount until the end of the month and forumers are praising it in the BA100 appreciation thread:

Seems promising, but I don't know how I feel about emailing them my phone/zip and full name...Can you vouch for them? For 50 bucks those seem fantastic, I could "review" them in relation to my Sony XBs and my dad's S4i II.

As you can see from my signature, I already got 2 earphones from HisoundAudio for review and they arrived within 7 days after I made payment. I can vouch for them. They also attend to your emails quickly.

Good to know, so if I theoretically send them this info by email, how do I "review" their thing to qualify for the 50 bucks off? Do they just want a post on this forum in the appreciation thread lol

You only pay 50% of the price when you purchase them for review. After that they trust you will do the review. You review them and post it in the BA100 review section here in this forum.

The BA-100 is great and I highly recommend it as well. I still enjoy it even next to my much more expensive gear.

Is the BA100 a lot better than E212? Thanks.

Well that sounds pretty good to me! I'll try and do that before October 31st when that deal runs out, thanks so much for the advice. If anyone wants to lend some more conventional advice/comments on the other earbuds in the OP I'm all ears ;) (pun intended)
