My mistake folks. I misread Scott's post. It's a headphone amp, not headphones. My sincere apologies.

Edit: Looks like McIntosh does have a pair of headphones in the works, MHP1000, please go to the appropriate thread for further discussion :-

Looks like several manufacturers are feeling the love...   just noticed T1 phones are now hoovering around $900 ...  wondering when the HD800 will begin to fall now...     I have a feeling the Alpha Dogs may have started this trend though...

Never liked the T1 I had, at all.. but i'm not sure if it's because it was in the first 1000 mades .. maybe they changed production quality after a while..

Felt like being rob at the time really..

THIS. I just lost all interest in the Oppo offering.

Im still more interested in the Oppo, though with the HE400i's price... it surely has to impress.

The Oppo looks MUUUUUCH better than the new Hifimans.

^^ I just don't care much for how nice it looks. Now shopping for a wife is different. ;) But with hp's, looks are at the bottom of my list.

1. Comfort

2. Sound (lot's of sub categories here.

3. Price

4. Reliability

5. Customer service

6. Looks

Hey, you stole MY list!

Comfort is number 1.   If it hurts to wear it, doesn't matter how it sounds, I won't use it.
