I just received an email from Oppo and they said the PM-1 will be priced between $800-$1200.

After nearly 1000 replies, we finally got some answer for the price.

 

For that fancy wood box, I guess 1.2K is not a bad deal. It just has to be better sounding than similarly priced competitors such as HE-6 and LCD-2.

At least we know now that they're not making the same mistake that JPS Labs did with their pricing scheme. Hopefully it has the sound to match.

Yes, hopefully the sound is right there with the recent planar releases.
