With that said, I was shocked that Audeze decided not to change their design on the new LCD-XC as well as X

Well, comfort is highly subjective... more so than SQ.

Many people say the HE-500 is extremely uncomfortable, but I still tend to have them "disappear" on my head

Damn, those are orthos? If they sounded like the LCD-2 or 3, I'm taking these. They look beautiful. I wouldn't mind wearing these in public.

I'm surprised that no one seems to have listened to these yet. I wonder if the new Fostex planar's will be in the same price range as these.

I'm sold! (maybe...)  Oppo stuff's are always good quality, they hit a home run on this one as far as how she looks.  "Now let's see if SHE can sing!"

These are beautiful. Definitely subbed!

I'm wondering if these headphones will be produced for an American market or for Chinese and other markets as well.

Very interesting.  As an A/V/home theater buff, Oppo is very well known in our community.  Fascinating that they're taking on this project.  I will be watching to see how they turn out functionally.  Oppo stuff generally turns out to be a good product, though.

If I missed it I'm sorry.  But I'm wondering what these "beta" units were being driven with?  Planers need some power, and I'm curious what these were being paired with.  I'm also wondering if they are source/DAC/amp picky, like some headphones tend to be?

Jewelry? They'll look best around your neck, like a DJ taking a break...
