I'd be satisfied with tighter bass, and a large soundstage.

I would still prefer reviewing the others though. But its affordable... If you skip the p7 you can get that and a MK2 for almost around the same price.

My vote goes to the P7. Listened to the P5, and I liked it a lot and I would like to know whether the P7 is an improvement or just an oversized P5.

I loathed the P5... from what I read it is a totally different headphone with an actual soundstage and details. I liked the P5 tonal balance but I would expect the P7 to blow it away.

With the l2 having improved treble I would expect it to have a better soundstage by consequence.

Yeah, the L2 is looking good, though I din't hate the P5.  They sound a little muddy, but they were very warm and have great comfort and build quality (outside of that cable).

I'm seriously leaning on the L2 and K545.  The KEF Pro seems good too.  The P7 is just too expensive.  I could buy it buy in the end I'm paying more for the brand name and build quality.  The HP50 looks like it'll sound similar to the M4u, or the KEF M500, and it would seem a little boring.  And finally, the 1r MK2 seems like it won't come out for a while.

The K545 seems like it will be out first though, so might just go with those, return them (if I don't love them) and get the L2, unless people vote otherwise.

That is exactly what I am doing. I will have my shipping info by the 20th. If it's mids arent improved over the k550 though then I might as well plan on getting the l2

LOL.

The Focal Spirit Pro is getting pretty good reviews, as is the classic.  If the Pro is any brighter than the One, I'll consider it even more.  The L2 is my largest priority though.  The L1 had problems with bass tightness and surprisingly soundstage.  The soundstage is no better than the 1r's and they're semi-open.

You know what, i think you should review all of em ;)

Hah hah lol! I could review two of them though.

I am interested in the focal pro actually. I have the akg k545 coming but I think I am leaning toward the focal pro vs the l2. The reviews are great. I want to get a second opinion on its bass though.

People seem to be interested in the hp50.

I want to get a pair of the Spirit Pros, but there just aren't enough reviews on 'em for me to make a solid choice, so I'm just waiting for an in-depth review on those. I saw HifiGuy's review and a couple others, but it's not enough for me to fork out $350, so if you end up reviewing those ones, that'd be awesome. Caught between those and the KEF M500, they both are tempting.

Yup, the Spirit Pro looks like it will sound very accurate, but It costs $350.  I'm leaning on the K545 since the l2 won't be out for a while.

Actually, after looking into all the headphones further, I'm much more interested in the K545's now. So I'm stuck between that and the Focal Spirit Pro. I'd be excited if you chose either of those. :)
