Fidelio L2

B&W P7
CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 90

NAD VISO HP50

AKG K545

MDR 1R MK2
CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v80), quality = 100

Focal Spirit Professional

I personally like the K545's look the most, closely followed by the L2.

I'll compare them to the original 1r, the KEF M500, K550, Momentum, L1, P5, etc.

I have the k545 on order and am curious most about the L2 and p7. The NAD's bass won't suite my needs though from reading the rest of it is ideal.

the L2 i think is more like semi-open so.... yeah

might not be the one you want :O

I don't mind the l1 bring semi open.

So the k545 has emphasized bass?
The NAD is supposed to have more bass than the psb m4u, still not enough for you?

I have never heard the psb. The k545 has more bass than the k550. The headfiers here desribe the bass as something I wouldn't want in my next hp.

I could be asking too much when wanting a momentum-like hp with tighter bass.

Thats the kef m500 (with even more improvements).

Still, im leaning on the L2 but since it probably won't have replaceable ear pads, I might get the 1r mk2.

plus it has sharp highs i heard(l2)

I feel dumb because I overlooked the mk2. I thought it was the same as the older one. If it has better bass then I would be very interested in it.  I plan on getting one of the ones you have pictured and seeing which one I would like best. That would be the one with the least fatiguing sound , fullest mids, and strongest bass, I do like a little treble roll off.

How do you like the k167 tiesto? how does it comapre to your l1 or kef

The L2 Is more open than it is closed. You gonna have a bad time if you expect anything else

Have you heard it?

The l1 which I have had is only open in build and functionality but bests a some closed headphones in isolation and a ton more in  leakage. Quite an anomally. I would expect similar from the l2. The l1 makes a great portable can.

KEF is definitely the best, with its supreme comfort, tight and deep bass, and just overall clarity.

The L1 is really just average. Average bass (emphasized albet), clear mids, average highs, clarity, and the isolation isnt bad.

The K167 is really good sounding, equal to the 1r, for 65% of its price. They are however uncomfortable and break easily.

If the tightened the bass of the l1 I would be satisfied.
