300$ Headphone for Symphonic Metal and other electro guitar / vocal things... - Page 2

I taped up the bass ports on my DT770 and they are great for metal. I listen almost exclusively to metal and I really like them a lot. There's plenty of heft in the bass, the mids are decent, and the upper mids and highs help distorted guitars sound like they ought to. They aren't PERFECT, but definitely good enough. If you're looking for neutrality, though, look elsewhere.

My Yamaha HPH 200 make poorly recorded music (DR5) sound amazing. It is just quite strange how good all this music can sound with this headphones. I still listening to Symphonic Metal thanks to this little headphones. (Epica, Nightwish, Therion, etc.)

Probably a closed back Yamaha is the way to go.

Best Luck finding them! : D
