Offering dime bags would be one hell of a sales inducement. biggrin.gif

Ha! That's beautiful though. Plus tax. Never thought I'd see a state legalize recreational use in my lifetime.

Me too!  The cartels are probably starting to sweat over the upcoming price wars.

Humorous comment, but "dime bag" refers to the weight of the bag, not the cost.  A US dime weighs about 3.5 grams.

OK, so let's keep this going a little farther.  Hate to disagree, but I think you'll find that the term may be interpreted differently from city to city.  When I went to school, in Boulder in the 70's (yeah, I'm old), dime bag referred to $10 worth, regardless of weight.  But enough, this is like arguing over which is the better iem or headphone!   And we all know that nobody likes to do that around here!

Back to this thread.  This is the second time I've missed the CanJam since I'd heard about it, and I do not intend to miss the next one.  I'm always complaining about not being able to audition equipment, and then I go and blow a golden opportunity!

Ahh.  I'm from around here too, but maybe the meaning morphed over time as well as place.  I'm not really young, but my time in that scene was in the 90's rather than the 70's.

And on the topic of the best IEMs and headphones, I bought Westone ES5s at CanJam.  They are supposed to be shipped next week.  I'm anxious to get them.

I chose them partially for the comfort of the hybrid tips; I think I would be thrilled with the sound quality of those, the JH13s, or the UERM, but want something that I can wear comfortably for entire plane rides.

Yep -- around my way, dime bags referred to cost ($10 -- typically 1/2 a gram). A 3.5 gram bag would be an "eighth" (1/8 oz).

I'll be like a kid in a candy store when I finally do make it!  Enjoy the new phones!
