Closer to the Sony Qualia 010, but no carbon parts, no color pads, and no dual entry cable.

Just wait for the Q812 with neon green everywhere.

Because that is how the headphone sounds like, very enjoyable on wide range of recording, be it good or bad. It is while rather resolving but it is not on the same level as HD800.

What the K812 have is the cold metal construction which HD800 really doesn't have despite how advanced their plastic might be.

I'll try my best. They're coming in on Friday, along with the Sig Pros, and Bravely Default is releasing all on the same day. A big day for me. Haha. I should just skip work that day.

That explanation makes it sound more appropriate to home listening than studio work.

From Inner Fidelity February 2014 update:

AKG K812 - Sigh. A lot of things to admire in these headphones, but the measurements aren't one of them. Significant ringing; low bass and low treble distortion; polarity inversion. I wanted to like them, really I did, but no, no review.

And most of the time I agree with him.........

That's definitively not true ! Maybe Tyll has clean his ears first ;)

Maybe there's variation in quality of the units sent out. The unit I heard does sound like there is some ringing.

It's funny that Tyll did a review of the Beats Solo by Dre, but won't do the K812 because it's terrible. It's like a punch to the face for AKG. Haha. :veryevil:

Significant ringing? Tyll does not heared the same headphone as I have smily_headphones1.gif
That's truthless!
The link to his measurement is the same serial 1150 as in December. I think he want to get a second sample or not?

Sometimes it is better for a company when he doesn't do a review, ask Ultrasone.

L.O.L :D

But isn't better for us consumers that there are more reviews of Ultrasone's ear-canal gouging wonders like the ED10? At least for the sake of preventing high-frequency hearing damage. Saving a few thousand dollars is a small added benefit too.

Yes, that's true. It forced Ultrasone to deliver the Signature Series, which is quite decent........And I know what I am talking about. I have the K702 and had the K401. Would like to see a decent successor of those. But not at the cost of distortion.

And Tyll was nice enough not to sloughter the HD700, he just commented that something was wrong and ignored them...
