In delirium listening to the Holly Cole jazz classic, Temptation. Bass is very deep and tactile. Holly's voice is right there, like a front row seat into the performance. Treble is clean and natural sounding . Soundstage is deep and wide. Extremely sultry and sexy on the K812.

Oooh... Holly Cole... Nice, MacBob. :L3000:

Someone you really might want to have a listen to is Sara Gazarek in her album, Yours. You MUST give track 3, Amazing, a listen. Hmm... there doesn't seem to be an actual MV.

There's musical link here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=2eooz7YMLNI

You will hear how clean the piano keys sound. And of course the voice... so soothing and smooth...

Enjoy!

It's fabulous. It's got to sound killer on your rig. I've been alternating between vinyl on my regular system and the K812.
Next up, I'm going to try the Phonitor 2 wired to the turntable and see how that sounds on the 812.

That makes me curious. Does that pairing really work? I was considering to get the WA2 and especially the K812 but the WA2 only seems to drive high impedance cans well. Having the TH900 and T1 (which I love with OTL), I thought it would be too special to waste a kilobuck for – unless it works with the K812 (and some other cans I have an eye on). Then I'd seriously consider getting it.

It works well for me in my chain. smily_headphones1.gif Go and have a listen and see if it works for you too. I had the WA2 anyway for the HD 800 and T1.

That's nice! Vinyl brings back childhood memories.

Listening to Holly Cole's Temptation, as comparison, on the Ref 1 and Tera Player. This is 24/192 rip off vinyl. So analog and realistic. Too bad I can't just hop into the car and drive down the highway and let you listen to this... frown.gif

K812 is a fantastic headphone.  Highly recommend it.  Proper pairing is important.
