ALL IN ALL a GREAT SOUNDING HEADPHONE and i love it realy but its not A ENDGAME HEADPHONE!(you will see that in the Future!)

NOMAX WILL BACK AT THE RIGHT TIME IN ANOTHER TREAD!

Sorry for my Bad english

REGARDS NOMAX

I agree. I had various issues with the pads, had them changed,  then had problems with the cable. TWICE.

No need to get annoyed at this level. Out it went in the end.

As a single headphone it has a really great appeal and can be quite seductive, battering the T1 easily and being more versatile than the claustrophobic LCD-2. Drivability or portability is great as well as I mentioned quite a few pages ago. At this level there's no headphone that sounded that good off various devices from smartphones, Mixamp, receiver etc.

However in the end it doesn't best the HD 800 which has the upper hand in soundstage/imaging, low level detail and is clean, effortless thanks to ultra low distortion.

Hey Kiats

DX90 + K812 = endgame (except I need a shorter cable).

The detailing/transparency/neutrality is just jaw dropping. Much better than my former desktop planar magnetic set up. Some of the best textured, deep reaching bass I've ever heard without even the slightest hint of harshness in the upper-mids or treble. I feel like the K812 sounds more and more neutral with burn-in.

These days I don't worry about my gear. I just listen/enjoy my music. I really love living in 2014 when DX90 + K812 is available. Yesterday I was listening on my bed before sleeping, got up to close the window, went to the kitchen to get a glass or water and came back to my bed without having to take off the headphone or stop the music. :D (ah... so nice)

Also had to travel for work and I tossed the K812 into the Slappa hardcase with the DX90 and I was done packing my rig. It's no AK240, but hey it's pretty nice.

Which Slappa case M-13?

Have you tried a shorter cable from another maker?

I am still burning in mine....

Cool! Sounds like you have your rig all worked out. That's always fantastic place to be in. smily_headphones1.gif enjoy!

The AKG K812 is the best sounding headphone I ever owned. And I had a lot of flagships. LCD3, HE6, T1 and HD800 are superb headphones but they don't reach the K812!
I only belief my ears and in the last 5 months I owned the K812 and tested them against the other flagships this is my conclusion. Meanwhile I whistle on measurements!
